The Top Ten Products You Need for Anti-Aging

The biggest issue my clients have with their skin is aging. Thank goodness we are always regenerating new skin cells, so you frequently get the chance to implement new and wonderful self care rituals to enhance the health of these new cells, specifically reversing the signs of aging.
Unfortunately, as we age this process slows down at an exponential rate, meaning every year we age more and more. So what I want to discuss today is the most important and powerful age corrective hack you can do at home, which is using the best anti aging products EVERYDAY in your skincare ritual.
Two Categories of Aging
Aging shows up in our skin in two different ways. Fine lines & wrinkles (lack of collagen) and sagging (lack of elastin). Typically, those who fall on the Normal to Dry skin types will see more fine lines and wrinkles as they age. Those who are more Combination to Oily will see sagging and folding.
Think of a mud puddle. If there is a lack of moisture and the mud puddle dries out, the dirt will crack and break in the ground. If there is too much water, the mud will slide and shift. Sorry to compare your skin to dirt, but this is an easy analogy of what happens to our skin as we age.
Oily Skin Type Aging
Oily skin types will see less fine lines and wrinkles simply because their skin is highly lubricated. BUT gravity will still take its toll, as well as the simple fact that our collagen and elastin production peaks at age 20. This means once you’re over the hill (sorry I know that sounds bleak to be over the hill at age 20 but thank goodness for all the advancements in skin technology) it is very important to take special care to boost the production of collagen and elastin any way we can. *Also: please do not think this means you should stop moisturizing your skin! Oily skin can actually be combated by proper hydration as our skin will hyper produce oil to compensate for a lack of moisture. You can literally never over hydrate with skin care because your skin will take what it needs. Abundance is best and this is a common misunderstanding about oily skin types (I myself used to believe in this concept).
Normal/Dry Skin Type Aging
Normal to Dry skin types will see more fine lines & wrinkles due mainly to a lack in collagen production. As I mentioned above, the production of collagen peaks at age 20 and decreases by 1% every year after that. Collagen is an essential protein responsible for skin elasticity. As the collagen bonds weaken or break, this causes the skin to lose its structure and instead of bouncing back like young perky skin, cracks and crevices will form and grow unless we can rebuild these structures.
What To Do About Aging

Top Ten Anti Aging Products
Let’s start with cleansers, then masques, work through concentrates and oils, eye creams, hit moisturizers, then night creams and finally SPF. Here we go!
The base of every good routine is a good cleanser. I love this one because is it is sort of a two in one product. It has finely ground olive seed that gently polish the skin. I personally use this one every night, so for certain skin types it’s safe for daily use. For my more sensitive clients, I actually recommend this as their exfoliant, to use 2-3 times a week. Exfoliating is key, removing dead skin cells, dirt & debris from the skin so all of your other products can go to work on healthy skin cells. It also contains the Natural Retinol Alternative. This is an Eminence trade mark ingredient.
I personally despise Retinols, chemicals that are often misused in other skin care lines. They present a real problem to aging skin, but people looking for a quick fix love the way it seems to make fine lines and wrinkles disappear. The Natural Retinol Alternative however, has been proven to dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and actually performs 8% better in increasing collagen levels than your traditional Retinols.
As masques go, this one has a very unique texture. It’s gel based with a fibrous pulp and when it dries on the skin, it can feel very tight, a foreshadow of what it does for your elasticity. This masque is PACKED with good stuff, like a super-food smoothie for your skin and honestly, it even smells JUST LIKE a kale smoothie. This has always been my go to masque for aging. I LOVE the smell. When warmed a little in the palms before diluting and applying, you can smell the small amount of orange blossom. It contains the Natural Retinol Alternative, the Anti-Aging Stem Cell Complex, PhytoCellTecTM Swiss Green Apple, as well as the Biocomplex2TM. As you can tell, this product is jam packed with all of the skin technology I love so much. The Stem Cell Complex alone shows a 25% increase in skin smoothness, 26% decrease in wrinkle depth and 13% increase in skin density. I think of its application like a creamy, natural botox.
This product is quite unique, not only is it in my Top 10, it is almost always on Eminence’s list of Top 10 Bestsellers and a celebrity fave. The Epidermis will instantly feel tighter after applying this lightweight fluid. I typically recommend you use this like a serum or a light moisturizer. Personally, it doesn’t give me enough hydration on its own. I use it for the instant firming on my forehead wrinkles and apply a moisturizer over the top. However I am on the dry side, so if you have trouble with finding the perfect lightweight moisturizer this may be a good fit for you.
The other reason I use this as a serum is because this product enhances the effectiveness of other age defying products. It’s a booster of sorts.

I use this every night. Religiously. I could NOT SURVIVE without this product, it’s honestly my desert island product. Botanical Hyaluronic Acid also helps to plump the skin with hydration and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also helps with puffiness and dark circles making it a well rounded pump of eye cream perfection!
I can’t keep this one on my shelves. I use it and pretty much all of my friends and family use it too. I use it twice a day that’s how much I love it. And it’s not just because it smells delicious! It dissolves into the skin as its base is derived of Shea Butter, Argan oil, Evening Primrose oil, Grape Seed oil, Monoi (Tahitian oil) and Jojba oil. It’s quite the luxurious combo. And it contains the Anti-Aging Stem Cell Complex which acts like a natural filler to smooth wrinkles and improve skin density.
This last one is the key to a wrinkle preventing routine. The reason being that the sun is the #1 cause of aging. So the best thing you can do above ALL ELSE is to prevent the sun from damaging your skin in the first place. Prevention is easy with a routine, reversal takes a lot more dedication and time. This zinc oxide based sun protection is also the most hydrating option out of the various SPF options. It’s been clinically tested to increase your skin’s moisture levels by 250%.
