What are the Effects of Sugar on the Skin
We all love sugar, but what are the effects of sugar on the skin? Many of us don't realize that by consuming sugar, we can be doing long term damage to our skin and our bodies. For instance, did you know sugar is more addictive than cocaine? In a study done on rats research showed the rats would choose sugar over cocaine, even when the dose of cocaine was raised! Sugar consumption has dramatically risen in the last century, causing a growing list of health problems in its wake. Let’s talk a little about what I mean when I say sugar.

Benefits of Using Fantastic (Adaptogens) Fungi in Skincare
Have you seen the documentary called Fantastic Fungi on Netflix? It is an incredible look into the magical world of mushrooms. While this documentary was for most people the first time they started to see mushrooms as something other than gross squish fungus, for me I began to see mushrooms as something truly powerful when Eminence began using adaptogenic mushrooms in their products. So lets discuss the powerful benefits of using adaptogens in your skincare ritual.

Almond Twist Moon Milk Recipe For Healthy Sleep & Skin
Moon Milk is essentially tea made with milk instead of water. Meaning it is one of the simplest and tastiest things to make. I really hope you love this concoction I’ve made based on one of my mamma’s Christmas time pastry recipes: the Almond Twist. Although almond extract really brings the most forward flavor, cardamom and cinnamon are the strongest spice notes in this recipe as well as the hint of roasted chicory and chamomile. I add a few extra scoops of chamomile to really boost the relaxation as well as the anti-inflammatory properties for my elixir.

I am so excited to share this recipe. Mainly because I have gone sugar free for January and it’s not been as easy as I thought. Not that I am the biggest sweets girl, I leave that aspect to my husband. I honestly got into the habit of having something sweet after dinner and now my body just doesn’t feel like meal time is over until I’ve had a treat.
