What Is A Lash Lift, Is It Worth It, And What To Expect

I get asked a lot about the lash lift. Eyelash extensions are wonderful and they have their place in beauty, but a lash lift is ideal for enhancing the natural lash with minimal maintenance and only a few rules to get you started. Clients who dislike the boldness of extensions, become frustrated with the upkeep of eyelash fills, or irritable with all the rules and restrictions of eyelash extensions, will absolutely love a lash lift as a substitute.
What is a Lash Lift
A lash lift is a service in which your natural lash is curled back onto a lash pad and set with specific potions into the curled position. This gives the natural lash an appearance of added length and visibility. It is also referred to as a lash perm. It can last anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks. Speaking professionally: your natural lashes turn over every 90 days, meaning you have a new lash every 90 days. So after a month, you’ve replaced 1/3 of your lashes. It becomes more complicated when we get into lash growth phases but what you should know is my clients typically rebook every 6-8 weeks.
How Will My Curl Look
The look of your curl will depend on the rod or the pad that is chosen by your esthetician. If you have very short lashes, there isn’t much room for decision as the smallest pad will be the right choice to see results. However medium to long natural lashed clients should be advised to decide on the curl they desire. Is visibility the priority, as in length? Or is curl the desire? Your esthetician can guide you through these options to pick out the right style and size for you.
How Long Does This Service Take
This service only takes about an hour. At the very beginning of the service, the eye will be primed to remove oils, then pads/rods will be secured to the eyelid. Only a few minutes are needed to comb the lashes backwards onto the pad. Then the service will take a turn in the direction of relaxation, for all you have to do is lie there peacefully and listen to the music with your eyes closed.
Once you reach this step, the service provider will apply the first potion and set a timer. Depending on the thickness of your lash, it should only take a maximum of 10 minutes. Then the cream is removed and the second is applied. Typically for an equivalent or shorter period of time before it too is removed.
Enhance Your Lash Lift with a Tint
The most common addition to the lash lift is a lash tint. This service is ideal for people with naturally blonde lashes often described as “invisible” lashes. This is me. The lash tint changed my life to be quite honest.
I’ve been receiving lash lift & tints since 2018. I removed my lash extensions of 5 years, used Babe Lash Growth Serum to regrow my natural lash and made the switch to the lash lift & tint.
While I truly couldn’t live without either of these lash enhancements, the tint is my favorite part. I wouldn’t leave the house without makeup on my lashes at the very least. Another way to boost the benefits to your lashes is by regularly using a lash growth serum. There are many on the market and of course the choice is yours, but I both personally and professionally recommend using Babe Lash.

Is a Lash Lift Worth It
I’ve included many pictures of before and after images of my client’s lashes in hopes to prove to you what I already believe personally and professionally. The difference this service can make for your natural lash is incredible. Results depend on the length of your natural lash however. If you have itty bitty natural lashes, this may not give you the desired results. Not that this rules a lash lift out for you. If you use Babe Lash, you can grow out those itty bitty lashes! If not, eyelash extensions may be the right choice for you. In summary, I would say yes, overall the lash lift and tint is worth it.

A lash lift is a very complicated service to perform and a very easy service to receive. It is because of this, I highly recommend (as I always do) that you research your esthetician thoroughly before booking your appointment. #1 Ensure your service provider is a licensed esthetician with time & experience under their belt and #2 Look at images of before and after photos to be sure you like their work.
